Organizing Coins

How do you display/organizing/store your coins?

I would really like to organize my coin collection so that if I ever want to look at it I can see them easily.

I suspect that many of you probably just have a secure box of silver in tubes or gold in tubes that is in a safe, or buried in the back yard. :rolleyes_m: But, are there any of you that have a book/binder or anything else? Many of the binder sheets that I have seen are not sealable so if you turned the binder upside down the coins would just fall out.

I basically want to have my coins in a safe place but also would like them organized and easy to see if I want to admire them.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sorry, but if I gave you that information, I would have to kill you!

disclaimer: I would really never kill anybody... so I guess I can't tell anybody where the stash is! :D

In tubes, inside .30 caliber ammo cans, of course.

Thanks all. I had a feeling that most of your collections would be huge. Wish I had that problem...lol Mine is still small enough I could put it in an Album if I could find a suitable one.

I still have a relativley small collection, and for the coins I really like(like prospectors and maples) i use those clear plastic holders that clip into a 3 ring binder. When I store them I fold it so its a single row wide, each page holds 20. When I fold it it looks like a big "stick" and since each page holds 20, I know each stick is 20, therefore its easier to keep count of as well ;)

Then when you want to look at it, take it out and unfold it. I use mint tubes for eagles though.

I went to my local coin shop (first time in a coin shop!) today and saw those pages that hold 20 coins. I think I will get those. She recommended getting these little square paper/cardboard coin holders that I can put the coin in and then put in the page. I think I will go that route and look for a nice album/binder to put them in. :applause_ :applause_

Nah, I keep it so well hidden I don't even know where it is.
